About IEEE Africon 2023
The conference will be organized by the IEEE Kenya Section. The event will be held at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies (KSMS) in Nairobi, Kenya on September 20th to 22nd, 2023. Several pre-conference events will be held on September 19th 2023 under the theme “Advancing Technology in Africa Towards Presence on the Global Stage”.
This conference will feature world-class plenary speakers, major technical symposiums, industry and academic panels, workshops, tutorials and invited tracks on emerging technologies. We will also host a pre conference Student Career Fair that will be open to University Students and interested Corporates.
IEEE AFRICON 2023 is co-sponsored by IEEE Region 8 and the IEEE Kenya Section and is the flagship conference for the African continent. This will be the 16th Edition of the biennial conference which has preiously been held in Nairobi, Kenya (’83), Abidjan, Ivory Coast (’87), Mbabane, Swaziland (’92), Stellenbosch, South Africa (’96), Cape Town, South Africa (’99), George, South Africa (’02), Gaborone, Botswana (’04), Windhoek, Namibia (’07), Nairobi, Kenya (’09), Livingston, Zambia (’11), Mauritius (’13), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (’15), Cape Town, South Africa (’17), Accra, Ghana (’19) and Arusha, Tanzania (’21).
