Speaker Bio

Director for Government and Public Affairs, Huawei Kenya. Adam has been based in Kenya since 2016 and  is responsible for engaging policy makers and the wider ecosystem in Kenya, including Kenya based organisations such as the ATU. He covers a wide range of areas to facilitate the growth of ICT including mobile networks, fixed networks, skills development and cyber security amongst others. He also leads Huawei’s TECH4ALL projects that leverage on ICT and work with partners to connect schools, hospitals, TVETs and youth centers as well as skills training efforts for students and youth.

Previously Adam worked as a Director for Huawei’s Corporate Sustainable Development Department in China where he led research and programs to bridge the digital divide. Before that he was a Manager, Advisory Services at Business for Social Responsibility helping Businesses, Foundations and NGOs in China with various strategies, projects and collaborative initiatives related to sustainability. He has also worked in leadership positions in various other NGOs such as Plan International and AIE
